Recently, we have seen more and more partners purchase automation products (including workstations, customized assembly lines, smart labs), and we felt it was time to share our practice in this area.

Allsheng began to do automation products, in addition to industry development trends, user demand cognition, internal also experienced several rounds of product awareness.

1. From Product to Function to Capability

Allsheng has started to produce automation products, and in addition to industry development trends and user demand awareness, it has also undergone several rounds of internal improvement in product awareness.

Another aspect is the understanding of "who is good at a certain type of product". No matter how the product form changes, you need to deliver functions that match user application scenarios. We believe this is an ability to integrate experience, user insights, practical applications, and interdisciplinary knowledge application. Allsheng is good at making certain types of products because we have mastered this ability, and we can empower ourselves or our partners' products to have corresponding functions.

Thus, we have experienced the change of understanding from product to function to capability.

2. Get as Close to 1 as Possible

An automated workstation is composed of a platform and multiple functional blocks, and the relationship between workstations and blocks is not a 1+1 ≥ 2 relationship. The platform is the biggest influencing factor that determines the performance of a functional block and how much performance it can perform. Secondly, multiple functional blocks are combined to achieve the final functionality of the workstation. If the functional value of each block is 1, there is a strong multiplier effect between the blocks. Only when each link strives to achieve 1, can the workstation achieve a final effect that is close to 1.

Overall, the automation platform itself determines the upper and lower limits of comprehensive performance, and the degree of implementation of block functions and platform coordination affect the final implementation performance. We believe that the quality of the platform and functional blocks depends on the degree to which application understanding is transformed into a product. 3. Co Creation with Users

For the same downstream application, different users may have their own differences when the mainstream technology route is similar. As an automation product targeting this field, it is necessary to have a certain degree of flexibility, including but not limited to table layout, block customization, software optimization, etc., especially in areas that are still in development and do not have mature supporting solutions. Our approach is to provide flexibility in various aspects based on our understanding of the application and work with users to find solutions that meet their needs as much as possible within the feasible range, helping them form their own application solutions.

4. Depth, Focus, and Independent Intellectual Property

Although it is difficult to break through their patent walls, our research and development approach is still to have complete independent intellectual property rights. We take this aspect very seriously, and all automation series products of Allsheng have independent intellectual property rights.

Secondly, we focus on the width of the product, especially the depth, and we hope to make them complete.

Finally, we focus on a specific niche and continue to explore iterations, hoping to become a mature supporting solution in the industry, such as the Auto-NGS series automated NGS library preparation workstation.
